PACK SHOTS
Now these I can get my teeth into.
One of these I did was a coffee shot.
Coffee beans, coffee jar, cup and saucer with steam coming out
of the cup please.
Just arranging the beans on top of and around the jar took hours.
We used tweezers at the end to place them on top of each other,
I was left alone for the morning to do this, when everyone returned
I was still adjusting beans, “let me have a go” said
someone, they lasted about 10 minutes before realising you could
become obsessed with such small details in the arrangement.
Then the steam, camera, lights and props were all set, coffee
in the cup, boil the water, pour and take photos as quickly as
possible before the steam cooled. Great fun.
Yes I know you can do things digitally now, but this was on transparency
film, back in the day, well four years ago actually
